With Car: Coming from central Europe, Livigno is reachable via the Passo del Gallo (Munt, the SCHER), open all year round, which connects with Switzerland and through the Ofenpass, with Val Monastero.
In summer, the transition between Livigno and Switzerland (St. Moritz and Bernina) is also possible through the Pass Forcola.
Coming from Milan, is reached via Lecco Livigno and Bormio, Valtellina and walking through the Foscagno, where frequent snowfall in almost all seasons required to have snow chains on board at least from October to May.
With Train: In Italy the nearest station is to Tirano, about 70 km from Livigno.
The connections with Milan, Stazione Centrale and Stazione Porta Garibaldi are several every day and almost every train is coincidence with the bus for Perego Bormio and Livigno.
In Switzerland you can get to St. Moritz by train and from there continue by various means for Livigno, also depending on the season: bike, bus or taxi via the Forcola Pass (summer) and the Passo del Gallo, Tunnel Munt La Schera (winter-summer).
With Airplane: The nearest airports are Milan and Bergamo in Italy. Zurich and Innsbruck in Austria and Switzerland.
Milan offers easy connections thanks to the shuttle service between the airports of Malpensa and Linate and the Central Station, from where many trains depart daily in Valtellina.
From Zurich to St. Moritz by train, and continue to Livigno bus or taxi.
From Innsbruck you can reach Merano train, and from there continue on to Livigno taxi.
With Bus: During high season the lcoal bus provide a direct link service Milan-Bormio.
Connection Bormio-Livigno takes place all year round using buses.
With Taxi: There are also several means: by car in 4, 5, 6 seats to 50 seats buses and helicopters.
With Bike: In addition to along the roads passable by car, Livigno is available through numerous cycle paths through the beautiful side valleys of the Alta Valtellina these and other itineraries are in fact theater in the summer of 2005, the World Mountain Bike Championships .
