Historical Events
At the beginning of the century, Giuseppe Mottini, who ran a bakery and diner in his old house, built the first Hotel in Livigno in 1912. The hotel was inaugurated with the name “Albergo Livigno.” Today, the building faces the square known as Plaza Mottini. His son Bèpìn Mottini, together with his wife Domenica, continued the business with great success and, in 1936, they opened “The Café.” In 1960, their daughter Elisa Mottini, together with her husband Michele, took over the business, and today the Hotel Livigno is managed by their sons – Damiano, Fernanda, Stefano and Oliviero.
